Message from President
Dear friends,
Human life is so precious. Every one has got only one life to live.
For this very reason, we try to live our lives to the fullest in true sense of the word and try to do our best to help the others live their lives the same way. It is this deed of ours which gives us a sense of happiness and fulfills our lives with joy. It is not anything, but the joy of giving. Giving without any strings attached. Giving for betterment of the others.
In this spirit of humanity, the Nepal-America International Education Foundation (NAIEF) was established to help underprivileged, indigenous Nepalese students.
I believe any good thing starts with a person, then family and friends, and community. As a result, the entire nation benefits from it and then the whole world in this global village of human race. In this context, it is our small, humble attempt to make a difference in the lives of our compatriots – sisters and brothers, daughters and sons of our motherland, Nepal.
I believe there is a place at the bottom of every one’s heart where human desire to help the helpless vibrates with the heart. Please do not give up your goodness that is in you. And please join us in our common goal to develop systemic means to advance education, to spread the light of knowledge among the most unfortunate, economically deprived Nepalese people. Let’s join our hands together in this worthwhile cause of bringing hope in the eyes of the hopeless. Let’s keep their hopes alive. Let’s
work together and make their dreams come true.
We recognize the seriousness of the tasks we have just undertaken by establishing the foundation. We are aware of the responsibility and the important role that we need to play to help the unprivileged students harvest their dreams and reclaim their lives through education. We believe that accountability and credibility are some things that are earned in time and we are here to do just
that. We do not take any thing for granted. We are committed to listening to our friends, volunteers, well-wishers and public at large. As a result, we make our foundation as an accountable and credible institution as one of the pillars of any civic society for the future of our society.
Finally, I would like to thank all of my friends and family members for their kindness and for their moral and economic supports, without which I could not have had courage to take a single step forward in this long journey of ours. As you know, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a simple step.
With best regards,
Suchitra Bahadur Shrestha
